My Art Therapy Experience.

When I first went to see a therapist I was stuck, I felt stagnant and unable to move forward. It was almost as if I was consumed by all of my issues and unable make a choice. I knew what I needed to do yet felt like I was paralysed by fear and the thought of making the wrong decision. Through having this issue I was at a standstill not even a cross roads I was knee deep and not moving anywhere the inaction and suppression of this caused a deep long depressive episode and from that point I was not achieving anything. Having regular appointments and establishing trust , Integrating my therapist and Art Therapist. I found that by seeing both I was able to gain the insight, visualise what I wanted, create a plan to make it happen and then take the necessary steps to action it.
